Hey Brand building Fan....because you're here on this site looking for domain names, we reckon you have a pretty good idea what a domain name is...however...if you'd like a little more techie insight...here you go...
A domain name is your address on the web. Underlying each domain name is a number called an IP address. These numbers look something like this: 216.115.108.243. Computers all around the world are identified to each other by these numbers. That's how they contact each other and how you get found. Remembering numbers would drive you nuts, so we humans use names instead. Pretty simple really.
You can register any domain that is not currently owned by someone else. You can buy a premium domain for your business or personal site from buildmyonlinebrand.com, and then dance up and down with excitement. Or you can register a domain that is not currently owned by anyone else, through our partner www.Brand buildingdomains.net by clicking on the link. For the tanned and beautiful Aussies amongst us...try our OZ site at www.buildmyonlinebrand.com.au to register great Aussie domain names.
SCENE 1. Find the Name you want . You can use either the search button above or view your chosen Category on the search menu.
SCENE 2.You progress through the Registration process and payment cart.
SCENE 3. You make your payment to either PAYPAL or our secure agent ESCROW.COM
SCENE 4 (a) Using PAYPAL- You will be taken to a secure page that will allow you to buy without sharing your financial information with the seller (in this case,us, Brand buildingDomains). See SCENE 5 (a)
SCENE 5 (a) When you have made your payment, we will email you out your Domain Name Transfer Contract (DNTC) for you to read, agree to, sign, scan and return to us. Once we can confirm we have received your payment and signed contract (usually within 1-3 business days), we will notify you by email and send your AUTH CODE (the secret code you need to get your domain) and Transfer instructions. We are here to help you every step of the way, so call us if you need any hand-holding or TLC.
SCENE 4 (b) Using ESCROW.COM- Escrow.com is an independent company specialising in escrow and online transactions (learn more about them below). They will process your payment (which can usually be made by credit card-Visa, MasterCard or Amex, wire transfer, check or money order) and will complete your transaction only after SCENE 5(b)
SCENE 5 (b).-------You have returned your signed Domain Name Transfer Contract (DNTC) and we transfer the Domain Name to you. ------- This will be independently verified by ESCROW.COM. Once they are assured that the title to the domain name has been successfully transferred to you, they will release your payment to us. So you see, you're completely protected.
SCENE 6. For those of you into instant gratification...This is where you need to exercise a little patience. The payment and transfer process takes from 1-7 days (3 on average) It's a bit like waiting for the reviews to come out. You don't need to bite your nails off though because....by the end of the process.....

The domain name is transferred by us to either your chosen registrar or one of several we can recommend. The transfer process itself involves changing all the details of ownership from us to you (we do this for free) and you paying a transfer or re-registration fee to your Registrar. (Fee depends on your Registrar and your domain name extension eg .com or .eu or .co.uk) Don't worry we can help you here. Some registrars charge the earth to transfer and re-register your name. We know of several who are reputable, reasonable and fairly priced. That's us of course! As a reseller for several major registrars we can get you a good deal and will make these available to you in your personal Brand building Green Room.
But naturally, it's totally up to you who you choose.
Things that YOU have to do.
1. Choose an exciting Brand building Domain Name to purchase.
2. Fill in your Registration details at buildmyonlinebrand.com
3. Complete the Form requesting new Registrant information (if different from your account registration info.)
4. Retrieve your user and login password from the email we will send to you then...
5. Login to your personal Brand building Green Room.
6. Inside your Brand building Green Room account panel you will be offered a direct link to both of our Registrars. By clicking the relevant link, you will be taken to that Registrar and invited to set up your own account. (please note ...these sites are secure and separate from the buildmyonlinebrand.com main site.) Once your Account has been set up at either Brand buildingDomains.net or buildmyonlinebrand.com.au, you will be able to find and follow instructions on how to set up a domain transfer.(see below for our brief summary of what to do and what to expect)
6. Naturally,if you prefer to use your own Registrar for the Transfer, then you need only visit your own registrar's website and follow their Transfer instructions.
7. Complete The Domain Name Transfer Contract that we will email you and also upload to your personal Brand building Green Room and return it to us within 48 hrs.
Things that WE have to do
1. Send you a big warm congratulations along with your Domain Name Transfer Contract for you to sign.
2. Unlock the domain name
3. Send the AUTH Code (EPP Key) to you or to ESCROW.COM (if the transaction is being conducted through them) We will send the AUTH Code (to your email) and Post the AUTH code in your secure account page.
3. Acknowledge and agree to the domain name transfer as the losing Admin Contact when we receive a request from the winning Registrar. This step generally helps to validate the authenticity of the request for a transfer of domain name.
A domain transfer is, in effect, to transfer the domain name from the management under one registrar to another registrar. As a registrar is only responsible for the management of your domain records, this transfer should in no way affect your website, relevant email or DNS.
If the administrator does not accept the transfer within a given period of time (within 5 days) then the registrar will assume that the transfer has been rejected. For this reason, it is important to ensure that all the contact information in your domain records is updated and valid.
If the email has been accepted then your transfer is effectively in progress.
Important Note regarding transfers in general.
In order for the transfer of a domain name to be successful, that domain must be active. If, the domain is locked, inactive or in the process of being deleted or redeemed, then this does not meet the criteria for a transfer.(all buildmyonlinebrand.com names are ACTIVE)
A domain must also have been registered for more than 60 days before you are allowed to transfer registrars.
If, however, your domain happens to be involved in a legal dispute or if you are facing bankruptcy then the transfer of a domain name will not take effect.
If successful, the transfer of your domain name generally takes at least seven working days to complete - this can be shorter or longer depending on the registrar you choose.
The cost of transfer will also vary depending on the registrar. Some registrars may be more willing than others to work out a package deal for you.The deal you score will depend on the registrar and on the amount of time you put into finding a package that is most suited to your needs. Our registrars Brand buildingdomains.net or buildmyonlinebrand.com au give great deals.
Special Transfer Requirements
EU Domain Names
For .eu domains the current registrant (that's us) contact email address will receive email from the .eu registry (EURid) which needs to be approved within 7 days of the transfer order. The new expiration date of the domain will be 1 year from the completion date of the transfer.

Escrow.com is a highly reputable, US based escrow service company and e-commerce transaction specialist.
As a trustworthy and impartial third party, they can directly facilitate the process by which buyer and seller can transact with each other in perfect confidence.
Basically, it works like this.
1.The buyer pays the purchase price of the domain name to escrow.com by means of cheque, credit card or wire transfer
2.. As soon as the funds are cleared the seller is notified. The Seller then transfers the domain name to the buyer.
3.Once escrow.com verifies that this has been done, the buyers funds, less escrow.com's fees, are released to the seller.
All parties have what they want.
The buyer has the domain name. The seller has the payment. And escrow.com has their commission. For those of you in Brand building, this will seem familiar to you, it's like working through an agent. To view escrow.com's site and learn more about what they do first hand, Click here
You should know that once you register a domain name someone may feel that you've staked a claim on their turf. The onus is on you to check out the trademark status of any name you want to register. If there is a dispute you have recourse through ICANNs dispute resolution process or Nominet's dispute resolution service (for uk names). For more information on this see our Terms and Conditions.
All of us here at buildmyonlinebrand.com are involved in Brand building and we strongly believe that our colleagues in the entertainment industry deserve access to the best names available in the industry today. We originally started out with the idea of setting up a massive Brand building email service. A place where you and your friends could obtain a great email address to promote yourself and your career. Unfortunately that great dot.com idea bombed, so we have decided to release the names back into the market so you can once again make use of them. Be you an independent producer, a movie star, a lighting designer, a director or a performer, you know that it's vital to be easily accessible when the work comes in. Having an instantly "memorable" and descriptive domain name will help you stay in the mind and ahead of the pack. If you are in the FILM, TELEVISION, THEATRE, MUSIC or MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING or COACHING industries we quite possibly have just the name that's right for you. The domain names we have are mostly generic. That means, when you own the name, you own the category. Invest wisely in your future, now. You'll be glad you did.
A lot of the Brand buildingDomain names are generic, meaning that they describe a category or function. For example...costumedesigner.com. When you own the name, people searching for that particular function may type the name into the address bar and search. If you own the name, guess whose website name has a good chance of being found near the top of the pile? Yours! Other names that we have are specially selected to be memorable and descriptive...take voiceoverguru.com for example. Other names make great keywords for search engines. e.g presentationskillscourses.com or speakingtips.com The list goes on.
